Poem: My Spirituality Informs

My sexuality is informed by my spirituality causing me to soar not be weighted down or frowned.

I am inspired by this freedom, revolutionary, provoked without war.

My senses don’t claim my soul, but faith rules in my heart started by the love that does not depart.

This is not an either or but a both and beginning with a priority that transcends.

Some may think I’m giving up to have but I am having so I can give and live in the abundance of truth not watered down by the emotions gathered by empty feeling.

I am in love with my Lord above, walking the line knowing that I am loved not shielding myself from His love.

Grace falls on me, it’s freedom liberates me and I am changed forever more believing before feeling I’m sustained, reborn and never torn but healed serving others rather than myself.

Satiating Hunger With Freedom

It’s something to know that at times when I feel the pangs of hunger it’s almost always nothing to do with food but everything to do with desiring to be filled with the wrong thing which is never adequate enough to satiate the hunger.

In my estimation, only God can fill the emptiness brought on by hunger having nothing to do with food.

Something to think about, right?

Renewing the Mind

Renewing the Mind

By Exposed Loving, 3.20.17

The renewing of the mind (Romans 12:2 AMP) is not a SMALL matter. Some people choose to renew their minds, some don’t choose to renew their minds and others think they are renewing their minds by checking their minds into the latest trends, escapes, fantasies, material trinkets or dysfunctional lifestyles only to be bombarded with negative thoughts about self, competitiveness or obsessive thinking that dishonors the self.

Renewing the mind as I see it is about going DEEP way beyond the surface of things. It’s about living a life that reflects values and internal growth that shines through for all to see although renewing the mind is not about being seen. It’s authentic peaceable living that reflects spiritual beliefs and maturity.

How does a person renew their mind? The answer is being around people who reflect the values you have. Being around people who believe in and decide to experience spiritual growth; being responsive to God’s will in your life. Not entertaining things that negatively distract. Not letting your senses lead you or set your priorities.

The most important thing to realize is that renewing the mind is NOT a one time thing. Renewing the mind is an ongoing process.

Are you renewing your mind?
